Oops! Not so fast, I reminded myself! That's because, earlier that day, the shower had backed up and I tried plunging it, that didn't work and instead it got a lot worse! Mika, our housekeeper had come to pick up our old chairs we were throwing out, for a friend who would use them in her house.

Mika came with a friend who is a plummer and fixes machines, and he took our power washer to fix because it stopped working. I showed him the upstairs bathroom with the problem. In the middle of the day, I forgot the problem and brushed my teeth in the sink, This made water bubble up in the shower with toilet paper and other unimaginable bits, with a horrible stench! Not only that, but water bubbled out from around the toilet! As a Doctor my brain was filled with visions of armies of E. coli and Cholera and Hepatitis A! Oh no!! So I asked him to come early the next day.

He came this morning and worked diagnosing the problem, then rotor-rooted the pipe in the toilet, and the shower. No good....................................so he told me that he needed to plug up the sinks, toilet, shower and urinal we have in our bathroom. He would force water under pressure to dislodge the blockage!

I gave him a deposit for parts, and he left, then came back two and a half hours later. When he came back, he started working with the parts he needed and started forcing water under pressure and I think it just might be working! If it does, it means that if I have to get up in the night, I won't have to go down the spiral staircase while groggy!

Right now I don't know what the outcome is, that will be in the 'Tales from Paradise 4' edition. I'm a bit ready for a lovely ice-cold Paloma and watch the sunset and count my blessings.
